Short version: Corgi Guard does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data. The extension stores settings locally in your browser.

No account is required
No analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs are included
Your settings stay in Chrome extension storage on your device
We do not operate a server that receives your extension data

1. Who We Are

Corgi Guard ("we", "us", "our") is an independent Chrome extension project. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at romandorian068@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data through the extension.

Corgi Guard operates locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. The extension stores the following data on your device:

Your usage limit and break duration settings
Your tracked sites list
Your active session timer state

This data is not sent to us, associated with your identity, or linked to your Google account by Corgi Guard.

3. Permissions We Request

Corgi Guard requests browser permissions so it can count time on selected sites and show the break overlay.

tabs / activeTab: used to determine whether the active tab matches your tracked site list. We do not record or transmit your browsing history.
storage: used to save settings locally in your browser.
host permissions (<all_urls>): used to inject the visual break overlay when your time limit is reached. The extension does not read, scrape, or transmit page content.
alarms: used to keep the timer reliable while Chrome manages the extension service worker lifecycle.
scripting: used to inject the overlay script and styles into existing tabs after installation or browser startup.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share extension data with third parties. Corgi Guard does not include analytics libraries, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.

5. Payments

Corgi Guard's current MVP is free and does not process payments. If paid features are introduced later, this policy will be updated before any payment flow goes live.

6. Children's Privacy

Corgi Guard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

8. Your Choices

Because extension settings are stored locally, you can clear them by removing the extension from Chrome, using the extension's reset controls, or clearing Chrome extension storage.
